Are Substance Use Disorder Services Right for Me?

Drug addiction, also known as a substance use disorder (SUD), is a disease that affects a person’s brain and behavior, leaving them unable to control the use of a legal or illegal drug. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, around 19.7 million American adults battled a substance use disorder in 2017. Genetics, environmental factors, and mental health disorders all contribute to a person’s risk of addiction.

Get the Treatment You Need at Our Raymond Clinic

Substance use disorder is treatable and can be managed successfully over time — our providers are passionate about helping you regain control of your life. From initial assessments to ongoing counseling, we will we will work with you to determine what services you need to recover and prevent relapse.

What to Expect During Your First Visit

For your first appointment, we will conduct an assessment and use the ASAM criteria to determine whether you qualify for inpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), or outpatient (OP) care. An observed urine sample will also be needed. Depending on the results of your assessment, our providers may recommend one of the following treatments:

Impatient Treatment

We will have you fill out a release of information and assist you in getting a placement at a treatment facility. If needed, our team can assist you in getting transportation.

Intensive Outpatient or Outpatient Treatment

If you meet the criteria, we will set up an appointment for the following week. During this appointment, we will create a treatment plan with you so you can begin services. After this initial appointment, you will meet with weekly groups. Our team works with courts, probation officers, and other referents if you need proven documentation of your participation. Observed UA (urine analysis) is performed twice a month.

Individual Counseling

During individual counseling, a client will meet with one of our certified SUD counselors to explore the barriers to recovery. They will also learn coping skills, ways to mend friendships, and how to live life sober.

IOP Groups and OP Groups

Intensive Outpatient is a weekly group held Monday – Thursday from 4 PM – 7 PM. Weekly Outpatient groups are Monday and Wednesday from 5 PM – 7 PM. These groups are designed to teach relapse prevention skills, learn how to have healthy relationships, recognize thinking errors, and push through barriers that keep a person in active addiction.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)

These two-hour groups are held once a week and are designed to enhance self-image, promote the growth of a positive, productive identity, and facilitate the development of higher stages of moral reasoning. This program consists of 16 steps the client must work through and usually takes 24-36 group sessions to complete.

Monthly Monitoring

Once a month, the client will attend a 30-60 minute check-in with a SUD counselor to process and work through barriers and successes in their recovery, providing a consistent accountability piece.

Urine Analysis (UA) and Mouth Swab Testing

We offer urine analysis (UA) and mouth swab testing in our Raymond clinic to be sent to a credentialed diagnostic agency. We can also work with special programs for employers to set up UA collections.
