Description

Willapa Behavioral Health and Wellness is searching for a full-time, compassionate School Based Program Manager to provide leadership in mental health treatment and community services in the school setting. The role includes some in-home and community-based services that support the family system, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices. Responsibilities also include providing training and support to other Child and Adolescent School Therapists to assist them with getting acclimated to the agency, the schools, and the unique community therapist/school counselor role, while working within agency policies and procedures and within state and federal statutes and professional code of ethics.

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification Required: B.A. degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, and certification as a mental health professional. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • Experience Required: A minimum of at least 2 years of experience working with at-risk kids. Experience in providing counseling services to individuals and groups. Detail and deadline-oriented with technical knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Skills Required: Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency to document in the electronic medical record (EMR) and utilize telehealth and Microsoft Office suite. Must undergo and pass a criminal background check upon initial employment and any subsequent checks required by the agency. Meet requirements of agency’s drug-free workplace policy. Excellent customer service with a client focus. Able to sit, stand, and move for long hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, and be able to meet requirements to be insured on WBHW insurance plan. Able to drive in daylight, darkness, and typical Northwest weather conditions. Meet the current Washington health care vaccination requirements for health care workers.
