Willapa Behavioral Health is searching for a full-time, day shift, in-person Mental Health Intake and Group Specialist for our Long Beach, WA location. This position will be dedicated to completing mental health intakes for all ages within 3 days of service for a wide variety of clients. This therapist will also orient clients to services, review diagnosis, create a treatment plan, and provide mental health groups and write group progress notes for clients waiting to be assigned to an individual therapist. The number of groups run will be dependent on the number of clients waiting to be assigned to an individual therapist.
Benefits and Salary
- Moving assistance or sign-on bonus: $2,000, based upon distance of move.
- Four weeks of paid vacation and 12 paid holidays for holidays on regularly scheduled workdays when the office is closed.
- National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program site: $50,000 – 2 years’ service.

- Salary range: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour.
Willapa Behavioral Health is an outpatient treatment provider. We are nationally accredited and have provided high-quality care with experienced professionals to Pacific County since 1986. Services include mental health programs for adults, children & families, case management, chemical and problem gambling treatments, peer services, domestic violence perpetrator treatment, co-occurring disorders, medically assisted treatment, psychiatric prescribing, trauma-sensitive primary care, and 24/7 mobile crisis services. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in one of the following mental health disciplines: Social Work (LICSW), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).
- Must be proficient in running groups.
- Must have the skill of listening and creating a safe space while entering information into EHR concurrently.
Skills required:
- Minimum two years’ experience working in mental health or related field.
- Demonstrated computer competency and time management skills.
- Able to maintain good rapport with co-workers.
- Demonstrate competency in working with a diverse population.
- Demonstrated background of upholding professional conduct and retain confidentiality of clients.
- Driver’s Licenses that meet minimum requirements by WBH insurance company.
- Must comply with healthcare vaccination requirements.
